my name's Jon, this is my personal website.

i never much went for creating one of those 'i live here, i've got 2.4 kids, i like long walks in the countryside, blah, blah, blah' sorts of things - who the hell's interested in the mundane details of some ordinary guy on the opposite side of the world? so i'm trying to do something a bit different here now.

i got this server a while back when i was learning about unix to try and get myself a decent job. i acheived that goal a few years ago and found myself left with this server and along with it a ton of capacity of which I had a use for only about 5% of, so i started hosting a few mix sets and some skydiving videos for a mate of mine, which is what this site's really been about for the last year or two.

recently i've taken an interest in a few online ventures, so finally might have something constructive to put it to use for. as a tester to brush up on my php, familiarise myself with the awesome content management system that is drupal and experiment with trying to build a bigger audience i've created this mix link database (about 75% complete as i type this). it's an idea i've had for some time, but never got around to doing. it's a fairly sound idea i reckon, but we'll have to see if people go for it.

oh, and if you're wondering about the name, it came from an appreciation for the film fight club.
